This site is built using a backend script using a scripting language called PHP. Whenever you type in a url to surf, the script on the server makes a CURL request for the page and processes it on the server side. The fact that all of this happens on the server where the site is hosted is what actually is keeping you anonymous. Most places that block website access do so by looking at site requests from your machine (using IP address). Since these requests are coming from the server, an outside IP, the blocker doesn't work.
